Getting the right ski boots are critical for a great day on the slopes or in the mountains. We are here to do our very best to make sure you get the perfect fit. There are a few ways to get that good fit but the best place to start is by looking into what size you will be.

How do I find out my Size?

You can do this 1 of two ways.

By using the Mondo Sizing Chart you can use your tennis shoe size to find the corresponding Mondo Size. If you have wide feet you will be looking for your mondo size in a '.5'. So for example, if you are normally a UK 6 and you have wide feet we would be recommending you select a ski boot in a Mondo 25.5 instead of a 25.

The other method for finding out your ski boot size is to refer directly to Mondo Sizing. Mondo or Mondopoint refers to the centimeter measurement of your foot. If you have a ruler handy measure your feet and use the number to refer to your size. Using this measurement you can select a length based on your skill level and ability.

Once you know your Size you can select a boot based on your skill level and its recommended flex. The flex of a ski boot refers to the ability to move your boot forward, and how responsive it feels whilst skiing. To advise customers on the flex they should be looking for we can use a rough guide based on their ability

Things to note:
  • Weight can affect Flex. Someone with a higher body mass might need a harder boot to accommodate this despite their skill level.
  • Intermediate / Advanced Skiers might need a boot width for a snug fit for better performance
  • Downsizing for Expert Skiers may need assistance from a more experienced fitter to assist in comfort - you can do this by giving our sales team a call if you wish to discuss your options.

When you receive your boots here are some handy tips for putting them on for the first time:

  • Undo all buckles and the power strap if they have one
  • Rotate the buckles slightly to avoid them from catching
  • Keep the boot flat on the ground and step into it as you stand up
  • Grab the tongue loop, point your toe and push your foot straight into the boot
  • Don’t be alarmed if the boot feels tight. Toes might brush the end of the boot
  • When the foot has warmed up the liner foam or started to push excess air out
  • Buckle the top two buckles lightly - this helps seat the tongue on the instep
  • Fasten the power strap and Flex (push on) the boot forward (hard)
  • Flex into the boot a few times with bottom buckles still unbuckled to settle the foot
  • Fasten all the buckles snugly but so they are not painful, with a little movement
  • Keep in mind that your boots, at this point, are the tightest they will ever be and will loosen up as you and the boots warm up.
